On-Screen Authority: VIP Consulting Program

Terms Of Service

What is the service?:

The On-Screen Authority: VIP Consulting Program is an offer/service in which the Client is provided guidance on hardware, software, processes, technical knowledge and training in order to consistently create professionally-shot video content, in-house, by themselves, for internet marketing & social media, as well as do professionally-shot video conference calls. This knowledge and training is delivered by means of digital consulting and video training modules from On-Screen Authority (OSA) via digital communication. The Client is expected to procure the necessary equipment items by their own means, under the guidance of OSA Staff. Costs for the necessary equipment items are not covered by On-Screen Authority.

Service Features:

  • Premium Support: The Client will be provided a direct line to the OSA Fulfillment Team and Support Staff via a private Slack for technical support, available daily from 9am to 5pm (Mon-Fri), for 8 weeks after service term begins. This aspect of the service is deemed “Premium Support”. After the 8-week period, Premium Support will end, the Client’s private Slack channel will be dissolved and support will be downgraded to email-only, through which support will be offered through those means.

On-Screen Authority is not responsible for helping to relocate the components of the A/V studio if the Client were to move or remodel their space.

On-Screen Authority is not responsible for the misuse or damage of the equipment items during or after assembly.

  • “VIP Gear List”: Client will receive a file with a list of curated video and audio equipment necessary for an “OSA-Approved” A/V studio. It is necessary that the Client purchases every item on that list exactly as specified, unless otherwise instructed by a member of OSA Support Staff. Links will be provided, but the means of acquisition does not matter as long as the item is identical or a similar item is approved by OSA Support Staff. On-Screen Authority is not responsible for the cost of equipment items, shipping, nor for expenses for software installed on the Client’s devices. On-Screen Authority is not responsible for refunds or return-shipping on any of the equipment items purchased by the Client from the “VIP Gear List”. If the Client insists on using any specific equipment item that is outside of the recommended list, or not advised to be used as an alternative by OSA Support Staff, there is no guarantee that the A/V system will function as intended by OSA.
  • Online Learning Resources: An online guide consisting of video lectures meant to instruct the Client on how to set up and operate their “OSA-Approved” A/V studio will be provided immediately after the initial payment and signing of this document. VIP Clients will also have access to the “VIP Section” of the portal which is an exclusive refined set of video lectures, written instructions and software download links necessary for onboarding. The Client is expected to use and follow those instructions when advised by OSA Support Staff.

On-Screen Authority guarantees that the Client will be left with a functioning “OSA-Approved” A/V studio within the period of Premium Support, as long as the Client takes the action that the Support Team requires of them.

  • Interior Design: The Client will be connected with a professional Interior Designer who will consult with them regarding the space in which they plan to film content. The process will involve an intake form and may escalate to a conversion over text, call or video call if necessary. The Designer will collect the pertinent information in order to create an on-brand interior design plan with a photo-realistic 3D rendering of the space, which will be delivered to the Client as a digital asset. A total of 3 unique designs will be delivered to the Client. The Client may choose to either build out the design in physical space at their own expense, or use the rendering as a backdrop on their Virtual Display in a matter that is suitable and advised-on by OSA Support Staff. The Client thereafter has full ownership and usage rights of the asset in perpetuity. On-Screen Authority will retain full usage rights of the digital background asset in perpetuity for marketing purposes. The Client may request additional background designs for an additional cost.
  • Support Group Access: The Client will have lifetime access to an online group message board to address any technical questions regarding their “OSA-Approved” A/V studio.

Promise & Expectations:

Overview: As a result of engaging with the On-Screen Authority: VIP Consulting Program the Client will have an easy-to-use video production studio which they will be able to operate, manipulate and relocate by themselves. The studio solution is intended to facilitate the creation of professional video content for internet marketing & social media, as well as live video conference calls. The studio is intended to feature a solo presenter in one picture frame. Featuring two or more presenters in one picture frame is possible, but satisfaction is not guaranteed due to the optical constraints of the components.

By the end of the service term, the Client will be competent in the intended use of the A/V studio. The intended result is that the Client will be able to produce a professional on-screen appearance using a workflow that is friendly and approachable.

Onboarding: Client will receive access to the OSA Online Course with VIP Section access, as well as an exclusive curated “VIP Gear List” of video equipment necessary for an “OSA-Approved” A/V studio. The Client will receive an invitation to join their private Slack channel with the OSA Fulfillment Team. The Client will fill out the “Technical Questionnaire” highlighting their intended use and features and limitations of their space, which will inform what is included in or excluded from the curated “VIP Gear List” before they purchase all of the necessary equipment. The Client will also fill out an intake form to inform the Interior Designer on their specific vision for their on-screen background environment.

Contingency Equipment: The “VIP Gear List” contains all of the equipment necessary for most OSA Clients. Accessory items such as Splash Lights, ND Filter, and 200w LED may be necessary for such conditions as: Extremely large windows, overbearing natural light, disturbing fluorescent lighting, optional accent lighting, etc. Contingency Equipment will be advised on in the Slack Channel and links for necessary equipment will be provided. Purchases are recommended and are at the Client’s expense.

Client’s Responsibilities and Expectations: The Client is responsible for the costs of all video/audio equipment items, personal/business computing devices (computers, mobile phones and tablets) involved in video production as well as all software costs (both one-time & ongoing subscriptions).

The Client is expected to have a space in their home or place of work that suits the requirements of the “OSA-Approved” A/V studio. Those are that it is at least 9’x10’ in square or rectangular area measurements, has two or more power outlets as well as a contemporary standard of high-speed Wi-Fi.

The Client should already have a computer - either one that will be dedicated to the A/V Studio, or one that is portable and intended to be relocated to the Studio site when filming. The Client should already have an iPad or other tablet (approved by OSA Support Staff) in their possession, with all accounts set up to purchase applications, or should be prepared to make that purchase.

The Client should be accountable and responsive when communicating about hardware/software purchases. The Client should have an alert and open mind to be trained on the equipment and processes. The Client’s home or place of business should be clean and in good condition ready for assembly.

The Client should treat OSA Staff with kindness and respect, as they would in any other business professional relationship. OSA reserves the right to abruptly end the service without offering a refund if the Client is deemed unjustly difficult, inappropriate or disrespectful to OSA Staff.

This term and agreement are for one account - that is, for one individual. The client may build up to two studios with OSA’s guidance during the Premium Support Period (for example, one at home and one in the office). If the client requests an additional studio intended primarily for a teammate, colleague or employee, that would constitute a separate account and is not covered in this agreement or term. Colleagues of the client who are assisting with the build or management of the studio are invited to join the Slack channel for Premium Support.

Results: An operational “OSA-Approved” A/V Studio in the Client’s possession is a guaranteed outcome, however, results are contingent upon the Client’s performance insofar as their ability and capacity for training on a new and unfamiliar workflow of video production.

Satisfaction: Satisfaction with the On-Screen Authority: VIP Consulting Program is guaranteed, as long as the Client makes all necessary equipment and software purchases and puts forth the necessary effort to learn the process and has the necessary preparations stated above in the “Client’s Responsibilities & Expectations” section of this document.

The On-Screen Authority: VIP Consulting Program is intended to be a Done-With-You offer and the expectation is that the client puts forth a perceivable effort to achieve the result they desire. It is expected that the Client purchases all necessary equipment, asks questions when necessary, maintains open communication and learns the terminology and processes necessary to achieve the desired outcome.

Other Disclaimers: On-Screen Authority is not responsible for any equipment failure whether or not it is covered by warranties or return policies enforced by manufacturers or retailers. On-Screen Authority is not responsible for consulting on the upgrading of equipment items or software which have been replaced by newer models/versions or newer recommendations after the 8 weeks of Premium Support. On-Screen Authority is not responsible for consulting on software which has been decommissioned by third party developers after the 8 weeks of Premium Support.

The “OSA-Approved” A/V studio is not intended to be portable for travel, but is capable of being relocated to another location by the Client and at the Client’s expense.

Earnings Disclaimer: On-Screen Authority does not make any claims regarding increases, improvements or changes in personal or business income which may directly or indirectly result from the use of any of its programs or processes. In plain terms, there are too many variables in business and earnings that are out of the control or the scope of On-Screen Authority's services. The Client's business revenue or personal income is, as it was before, contingent on their own offers, assets, business skills, products, services, strategies, efforts and creativity, irrelevant to their video quality or on-camera presentation skills.

Refunds: Refunds are offered within 3 days of the first payment. Refund amounts will have deducted from them amounts equal to relevant processing fees (2.9% or more depending on the payment processor, on funds both paid and received) and non-refundable booking of third-party services. If a dispute on the charge is opened, On-Screen Authority reserves the right to not serve the client and withhold the funds, no matter which side the dispute results favor.

Allowable reasons for refunds:

  • Medical inability to use the necessary equipment by doctor’s order
  • Documented proof of negligence or unprofessional/unreasonable temperament, demeanor or behavior by OSA Staff

Deniable reasons for refunds:

  • Client claims to not have time or availability to implement the tools or to assemble the equipment
  • Client refuses to purchase or use the equipment items recommended by OSA Staff
  • Client behaves in a manner that is professionally inappropriate or personally disrespectful to OSA Staff
  • Personal/Health concerns unrelated to using or assembling video equipment
  • Financial incapability of continuing with the Service payments

Investment:

The Client’s investment amount for the On-Screen Authority: VIP Consulting Program is as indicated at the time of payment.

Payment can be made either in-full upfront, or using the various installment plans which are available. Individual installments will not amount to less than OSA’s current expenditure. Meaning that, at any given time, OSA will collect no less than what is necessary to cover hard costs such as booking 3rd party services.

Credit card information will be discreetly collected over video conference call, or in some cases, self-checkout via online payment link.
